'37 Oze Coupe
We've just completed this '37 Coupe from Taylors Custom Street Rods in Monroe, Ohio.
This project required a moderate degree of fabrication: Wrap-around panels in the rear of the cab, rear window trim with 3rd brake light, side trim for the headliner (flowing from dash/windshield to the rear quarters to pick up where the front door cap leaves off). The console is a part of the kit supplied by Oze but it required significant trimming and was painted to match the dash. A lot of fiberglass work was done in the trunk to hide the battery, air ride equipment, and gas fill while at the same time creating a nice flowing appearance. As for seating, we began with a set of stock Fiero seats, but by the time we finished modifiying them, they were virtually unrecognizable (A major improvment...at least we think so!)
The interior was upholstered with a parchment-colored leather throughout, a matching suede for the headliner, and tan squareweave carpet on the floors. We purposefully avoided a two-tone scheme on this project to provide a little more of an elegant appearance. The polished aluminum barstock, seat emblems, and Phipp's billet lights assisted in helping to achieve that appearance.
